When we first heard of Le Swine and their self-professed "best bacon butty in town" we feared the boldness of their statement. Would this be another claim too large for any one street food van? A good amount of bacon sandwiches later and you've probably worked out our thoughts on the whole situation.
It turns out the bacon butty is in good hands. James, the man behind Londons best bacon butty knows a thing or two about food. He worked under Bruno Loubet (chef extraordinaire) in Clerkenwell for five years. It's fair to say he has earnt his stripes.
Though we at Number Six would rather keep the bacon for ourselves, we think we've stumbled across a beauty much too good to be kept secret. Our good friends at Le Swine opened up their converted Austin Morris Ambulance to be part of our locals guide to Shoreditch. We headed down to ask the head honcho a few questions and gorge ourselves.

Who is the best customer you have ever had?James: Wossy (that's Jonathan Ross for the less familiar). Twice in one day
Is a Jaffa cake a biscuit of a cake? Be careful how you answerJames: I've never seen a cake that small. Biscuit.
Show us your local knowledge! Where is your favourite place in Shoreditch?James: Taberna do Mercado to grab a pasteis de nata. (Again for the less familiar that is a Portuguese custard tart type thing)
What is your Tune Of The Day? or favourite song to dance to...James: At the minute it's "I need you tonight" (H-Track Edit) by Punkin Machine. This was my mate's first dance song.. it's a banger!
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?James: The Reverend Al Green for background music, Ricky Garvais and Mike Tyson.
Can you tell us what's in your mushroom ketchup? Because we love it!James: Mushrooms and the rest is the rest.
